...anyway. Pick up your pets. We'd better get moving.

Why? It's not dangerous anymore.

[But he does start scooping up rabbits.]

The whole town ran off who knows where. They'll be out out there without any shelter.

[Scooping up the puppy, himself.]

Do you have shelter to give them...?

[Puts the rabbits on the tiger's back. This will surely work out for the best.]

No. But I'll figure something out.

[This serious business face is spoiled somewhat by the puppy gnawing on the sleeve of his coat.]

And why do I have to come along, anyway?

You don't. But in case you didn't notice, we're in a burned out village in the middle of nowhere.

[Starts walking, and calls back over his shoulder.]

And we have no shelter, either.

[Hesitates at first but eventually starts to follow, the tiger heeling alongside him.]

You're being stupid. You can't do anything for anyone. Why do you even want to? They wouldn't do it for you.
